How to Change Your Key Pairs

Jiri Tobolka

Following up the general announcement on our Support Portal, this article provides instructions for how to update your security certificate and deliver the public key to GoodData for implementation in your domain or domains.

White Labeling

If you are using GoodData’s white labeling service, you should rotate your SSL certificate.

To change the security certificate follow up this documentation about White Labeling setup. See the third section of “How to request white-labeling”.

Basically you need to repeat this step:

Generate an SSL certificate that matches both domains listed above. Please provide this guide to your IT administrator to generate a certificate request (CSR).

  1. The IT administrators should send the CSR to your preferred certification authority (e. g. Thawte or GoDaddy) to generate a certificate for you.
  2. Retain both public and private parts of the certificate, which must be sent to GoodData with your white-labeling request.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Customers using Single Sign-On (SSO) to authenticate users to the GoodData platform should following the same process for rotating the security certificate:

  1. Generate a new public/private keypair. For more information, see the details in following article.

  2. Send the public key to our Support team at

  3. This key will be applied to your domain. The Support team will inform you of the timeline to complete the work.

  4. Update your web application with the new key pair. For more information, see the documentation.

Feel free to contact our Support if you have any questions.
